If you have eggs, embryos or sperm frozen at other facilities, they will need to be transported to Andra for further treatment. 

 At Fora + Andra we believe the old approach to reproductive storage is outdated and leaves too much room for human error. Thus, Fora is the first and only clinic in Texas to bring the care of your eggs and embryos into the modern age by partnering with TMRW, the world's first and only automated storage platform.

STEP ONE: COMPLETE THE TRANSPORT FORM

Step one is to complete the transport form so we know where your samples are located and can provide appropriate next steps.

STEP TWO: REACH OUT TO WHERE YOUR SAMPLES ARE STORED.

All labs have different steps to transport samples out. You are responsible for knowing where your samples are and reaching out to the lab for instructions. Once you have completed their required steps, we will be notified and review that everything is complete.

NOTE: WE WILL NEED MEDICAL RECORDS INCLUDING INFECTIOUS DISEASE LABS, GENETIC TESTING, AND EMBRYOLOGY REPORTS PRIOR TO ACCEPTING YOUR SAMPLES.

*if you were previously seen at Fora Fertility, your samples were stored at Aspire (unless you moved them elsewhere). Reach out to Aspire by emailing specimentransports@inceptionllc.com and let them know you are a Fora patient wanting to transport samples to the Fora lab.

STEP THREE: CONSENTS AND PAYMENT

Transport fees will be paid to your current storage facility or a third party transport. company. Fora will need to collect treatment/storage fees before we can accept your samples. You will need to sign consent forms to transport out and transport in. Please note: some forms may require a notary, if you have a partner they will also be required to complete all transport consent forms as well.

We are excited to announce the opening of the new Fora Fertility IVF Lab - Andra Andrology and Embryology!

Since our opening in 2020, Fora Fertility has been committed to providing personalized care with modern technology. This focus has been our top priority as we expand our services with a new IVF lab.

Your samples are extremely important to you and us, and we are disheartened to hear about recent embryo errors and storage issues at clinics locally in Austin and throughout the county. Many patients are not aware that the standard storage at most IVF labs involves placing your samples in large tanks holding multiple patient samples which are frequently and constantly opened. Some clinics have a barcode system to help identify eggs and embryos, but most keep a manual log or spreadsheet as the only mechanism to identify your samples.

 At Fora we believe the old approach to reproductive storage is outdated and leaves too much room for human error. Thus, Fora is the first and only clinic in Texas to bring the care of your eggs and embryos into the modern age by partnering with TMRW, the world's first and only automated storage platform.

We know that some of our patients have been paying storage fees for embryos when they have completed their family. Many patients are unsure what to do with these embryos as options are limited. We are excited to announce that in response to this growing need, your Fora physicians are launching Era Embryos - an embryo donation program to help more people experience the joy of parenthood.   • All treatments for patients of Fora Fertility will occur on site at Fora starting in 2024. The new lab will be state of the art with a priority on safety of your samples, utilizing the TMRW automated system. No further treatments will be at any other lab site.

  • No, in fact - you should be excited. We have the latest technology and state of the art equipment combined with years of experience by all physicians and embryologists. You team is not new at all. We have opened practices, designed labs, and done the work. Now we just get to do it for you and for us!!. You FORA lab supervisor has over 21 years of experience and senior embryologist with over 13 years. Your doctors have over 10 and 13 years of experience in the fertility and IVF. Your nurse manager has over 14 years. Leadership team knows what we are doing.

    New technology and equipment in IVF is good. Labs are expensive, the equipment is important and not where you want to save money. Staying up to date with modern technology is so essential in a field where outcomes are determined by lab quality and safety. Across the board, we are not settling for anything less than the absolute best in equipment, tech, storage, safety.

  • If you are concerned about safety, moving your eggs/embryos to the TMRW storage system is the absolute best thing you can do. Your samples will be handled by our expert team of embryologists upon arrival and you should know that embryos, eggs, and sperm are shipped all over the country in a very safe manner. All eggs and embryos will remain frozen throughout the entire process.

  • All patients deserve access to the safest storage system for their eggs and embryos, thus - all patients who desire to transport samples to the Fora lab will be permitted to do so if all documentation is received and all steps followed. Please note, if you have not been a patient with Dr. Skillern or Dr. Crawford, accepting your eggs/embryos for storage does not obligate the Fora team to provide any future treatment. You will not become a patient of Fora Fertility until you scheduled a new patient visit and establish care with one of our doctors.
